  • Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM

The Adoption Counselor will serve as the first point of contact for prospective adopters, guiding them through the adoption process and ensuring a positive, welcoming experience. This role combines strong customer service skills, administrative abilities, and a genuine passion for helping pets find their forever homes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
  • Greet and assist prospective adopters in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Match animals with potential adopters based on compatibility, lifestyle, and needs.
  • Provide information about the adoption process, pet care, and organization policies.
  • Process adoption applications and complete required documentation accurately.
  • Maintain and update adoption records in our computer system.
  • Collaborate with the adoption team to meet and exceed placement goals.
  • Support special adoption events and community outreach initiatives as needed.

Minimum Qualifications :
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic administrative and computer skills, including data entry and email.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Compassion for animals and a desire to help them find loving homes.
  • Ability to work weekends or evenings as needed.
  • Previous experience in animal welfare, sales, or customer service preferred but not required
