We are currently seeking experienced and mission-driven Dentists to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a state-supported residential care setting

Salary: 
Weekly Pay w/benefit options
Shifts Available:
  • Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm

Location: Carlsbad, TX
*3-Month Minimum Contract Assignment with option to extend

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide dental services for patients both routine and non-routine
  • Perform documentation of all services provided
  • Dentist must be proficient in computers/electronic health records. 
  • The Dentist is responsible for providing dental services for individuals and certain identified individuals living in community-based settings, including advanced dental care and treatment to elevate the oral hygiene of all individuals. 
  • The Dentist is responsible to implement best and safe practices in treatment.
  • Provide timely, and accurate charting of clinical encounters using our electronic medical and dental records of the residents with intellectual disabilities.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Must be licensed as a dentist by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
  • Valid Photo ID

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Written treatment plan with justification of irreversible dental treatments.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must have good communication skills, organizing, and able to present information.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of and experience performing dental services including use of dental equipment. 
  • Knowledge of best practices related to oral hygiene and health care. 
  • Knowledge of and experience diagnosing dental problems and documenting examinations and courses of treatment
