What You’ll Do
Animal Handling & Transport
- Safely move animals between kennels, exam areas, and surgery
- Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during exams and procedures
- Follow all safety protocols when handling animals of varying sizes and temperaments
- Prepare animals for exams, treatments, and procedures
- Observe animals for visible signs of distress or discomfort and report concerns promptly
- Support veterinary staff in maintaining efficient clinical workflow
- Clean and disinfect cages, carriers, equipment, and medical areas
- Follow strict infection-control and biosecurity protocols to prevent disease spread
- Restock medical and operational supplies as needed
- Transport materials, equipment, and animals throughout the facility
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of medical and treatment areas
- Ability to safely handle animals of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Strong attention to safety, sanitation, and detail
- Ability to follow instructions and established protocols consistently
- Dependability and willingness to support a team environment
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, hands-on setting
