Employment Type: Long-Term Contract Opportunity
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment within a water treatment facility
- Perform electrical work on motors, pumps, control panels, MCCs, VFDs, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions efficiently to minimize system downtime
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on electrical systems
- Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical manuals
- Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) as well as facility safety standards
- Support upgrades, repairs, and modifications to plant electrical infrastructure
- Collaborate with plant operators, maintenance staff, engineers, contractors, and other trades
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Follow all lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, arc flash, and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- Provide technical guidance and support to apprentices or helpers when assigned
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License (required)
- Proven experience in industrial, utility, municipal, or plant-based electrical work
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools
- Familiarity with electrical safety practices, including LOTO and arc flash protection
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience in water or wastewater treatment facilities
- Exposure to industrial controls, PLCs, VFDs, or SCADA-related electrical systems
- Experience working in regulated or safety-sensitive environments
