We are currently seeking an experienced and mission-driven Psychiatrist to provide direct patient care in a secure, state-supported residential treatment setting serving adults with complex mental health needs.
- Pay Rate:
- Pay Schedule: Weekly pay with benefit options
- Shift Availability: Flexible scheduling
- Monday - Friday (8hr shifts)
- Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday (10hr shifts)
- Location: Lubbock, TX
- Assignment Length: 6-month minimum contract with option to extend
The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adult patients in a residential treatment environment. This role involves working with individuals who may have co-occurring mental health and developmental conditions.
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
Provide diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management
Perform face-to-face patient evaluations
Respond to emergency situations, including behavioral crises and restraints
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and attendance standards
Perform duties consistent with facility-employed physicians
- Comply with facility standard operating procedures and Joint Commission Standards
Active Physician License in the State of Texas (in good standing)
Active DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) certification
Current credentialing with hospitals affiliated with the facility
Current CPR certification (American Heart Association approved)
