Responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotation and balancing, fluid checks, and replacement of belts, hoses, and other components. Uses diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Maintains accurate maintenance and repair records while following all safety procedures. Performs general mechanical work on vehicle systems including engines, fuel, electrical, and transmission components, and may operate equipment such as forklifts and engine hoists as needed.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles (oil changes, tire rotation/balancing, fluid checks, filters, belts, and hoses).
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment.
Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and service records.
Perform general mechanical repairs on engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and transmissions.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Operate shop equipment such as forklifts and engine hoists as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 3 years of auto or truck maintenance and repair experience.
Valid Texas Class A or B CDL with P and S endorsements and air brake certification.
ASE certifications preferred or must obtain within 18 months.
Knowledge of diesel engines, vehicle diagnostics, and fleet maintenance systems.
Ability to lift heavy equipment, maintain a safe driving record, and pass drug/alcohol screening.
